Cristina Piña is a renowned poet, translator, literary critic and professor. She has written 13 books of poetry and 13 books of literary criticism. She has translated more than 150 books. As an academic, she is Emeritus Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata where she has taught literature, literary theory, and literary criticism. She has been awarded the First Poetry Prize by the Isidoro Steinberg Awards, Third Poetry Prize by La Nación Poetry Awards, and the Fulbright Commission Grant. As a translator, she was awarded the First Prize in Theater Translation by the Teatro del Mundo Awards, eight Mentions of Honor for the same prize in different years, the French Ministry of Culture Grant, and the Konex Award’s Platinum Prize. As a literary critic, she has received the City Hall Prize’s Second Award and the Konex Prize’s Diploma of Honor. Finally, she was awarded the Domingo F. Sarmiento Diploma of Honor by the Argentinian Senate for her career achievements. As a poet and literary critic, she has been invited to read by universities and national institutions in France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, the Czech Republic, and Spain.

C. Violet Eaton is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Boise State University, and the author of two full-length books of poetry: Quartet (Ahsahta, 2018), and Some Habits (Omnidawn, 2015).

Emily Eaton is an Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies and Chair of Humanities at Eureka College in Illinois, where she teaches Spanish language and literature courses. She holds a Ph.D. in Romance Studies from Cornell University. She is an active volunteer translator for The Immigration Project, a nonprofit organization that provides legal services to immigrants in central and southern Illinois. This is her first published translation of poetry.
